Dear reader, you will get there.
When I say "there,"
I mean you will get to where God is taking you. Or do you not want that? Would you prefer that fancy future you've envisioned in your head?
Yes, you should envision a future for yourself, it's what keeps you going. But I'm telling you, even the fanciest vision in your head is just a glimpse of what tomorrow holds. You really don't know.
And one thing is for sure; the nice plans you have for your life cannot surpass God's own. God said, “ For I know the plans I have for you, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” The CEV version puts it like this: “I will bless you with a future filled with hope—a future of success, not of suffering.”
Therefore, the fact that you don't have the full picture of tomorrow doesn't mean it isn't promised for you. Tomorrow is surely promised, very much certain, it is more than good, and you will get there.
I don't know about you, but my tomorrow can only be considered good if I walk in alignment with God's purpose for my life. I don't want to arrive at a destination on my own, that even if the outcome is considered a success by men, it's a failure to God.
It's easy to overlook the smallest decisions and steps just because the future seems so far off. But can we be more intentional about now? Are you doing what is required of you in this moment?
Okay, for that beautiful picture you have in your mind, are you doing what is required of you to attain it? Are you staying diligent as a student? Are you putting effort into your little business? Are you exercising your gifts and talents? Are you living for God, the one who owns the blueprint for how to walk in and achieve purpose?
Dear reader, that God has the best plan for you is simply the truth. Instead of worrying so much about what the future holds, why don't you put some effort into where God has placed you today? Don't just live in the moment, work in the moment.
This is 2025, stay with God. Strive for excellence in all that you do. Push yourself, do not limit what you can do. Open your heart to possibilities, you can do all things, everything, through Christ who has strengthened you.
I pray you find purpose and I pray you know what to do at the right time.
